Given the importance of moving the mission of DAOpunks forward and funding cohort_0, this Genesis Governance Proposal will serve as an interim governance framework pending enactment of the Final Governance Framework, a framework which is currently under development but will take some time to finalize. The number one priority, and a necessity for a successful launch of DAOPunks' public-grants program, is to set up an interim governance structure. It is crucial that all DAOPunk holders are able to formally participate in creating the foundation of the DAOPunks Grants program, Treasury Management guidelines, Committee structure, and to refine the mission.
DAOPunks will begin the path to community governance based on DAOPunk NFT ownership. Each DAOPunk NFT will represent one (1) governance vote. In a soft consensus poll, over 130 DAOPunk holders voted on whether to institute 1/1 voting in the interim, and over 94% of voters agreed with the 1/1 interim voting framework. Since many DAOPunks are anonymous or pseudo-anonymous, we will not institute any voting power multipliers/dampeners.

Until a different framework is voted in by DAOPunk holders, there will be two primary consensus mechanisms;
Discord Polls - Use Discord to solicit feedback, gain support, and polish proposals.
Snapshot - Proposals will be sent to Snapshot for a binding vote.
It is imperative that governance is agreed upon ASAP as all other functions depend on it. With the holiday season (in the US) quickly approaching, we need to start solidifying roles and expectations now so progress doesn't grind to a halt until the new year.
